More Chicago!

On Saturday I shared my Navy Pier pictures, but here's the rest of Chicago, or at least what I got to see when I wasn't at the conference.

We stayed at the Palmer House, which was over-the-top gorgeous...
Had amazing deep dish pizza at Giordano's...
And spent some time walking around Millenium Park...
and Grant Park.
On Friday we took a walk around the city, and I took pictures of buildings...

and signs...
(We should all ride bikes like this)
And some nice political street art.
I also got some delicious Shepard's Pie at the Elephant and Castle...
and chilled with Bob Newhart outside Navy Pier.
Overall it was a great time, though I am glad to be back home now. And of course I'm excited to get caught up on all the blog reading I missed while I was away!

Don't forget to check out my Navy Pier pictures below if you haven't already.

How was your weekend?

  1. Ahh, the Palmer House is gorgeous! My husband and I stayed there when we were dating and it was just beautiful! Ooh, and I could totally go for some Giordanno's right now! I'll bet it was delish! Glad you had a good time!

  2. Hi Nicole- The Palmer house IS very nice, although all the gold does make it look totally over the top to me :) Giordanno's is probably one of my favorite places now.

  3. I love the 4th picture! It's so weird but it's wonderfully weird. :P You are so lucky, I've never been to Millenium Park! :(

  5. Great pictures. I love great architecture so I always take tons of picture of buildings when I visit the city!

  6. That graffiti is really neat. My school has two tunnels that graffiti artists have covered, it's awesome!

  7. Do you ever see a place you've been in a picture or a movie and get all excited? Like, "Hey! I know that place! I was there! I stood there! So cool!"

...I got that with your picture of Palmer House.

Nighttime in the city is so beautiful!
